The State Honor Roll of Asthma and Allergy Policies for schools is AAFA\u2019s annual research project to help identify states with the most comprehensive and preferred statewide public policies supporting people with asthma, food allergies, anaphylaxis, and related allergic diseases in U.S. elementary, middle, and high schools. The goal of this report is to identify state-level progress towards better school-based policies, and to provide a blueprint for advocates nationwide. Asthma Disparities in America<\/h3>\n

The burden of asthma in the United States falls disproportionately on Black, Hispanic and American Indian\/Alaska Native people. These groups have the highest asthma rates, deaths and hospitalizations. AAFA\u2019s Asthma Disparities in America report examines how asthma affects Black, Hispanic, and Indigenous populations in the United States. Elijah\u2019s Law Report and Advocacy Toolkit<\/h3>\n

In 2022, AAFA partnered with the Elijah-Alavi Foundation (EAF) to publish Child Care Policies for Food Allergy: Elijah\u2019s Law Report for U.S. States and Territories. The report includes two parts: a review of state-level policies protecting children with food allergies in child care programs, and a toolkit for advocates to support Elijah\u2019s Law in new states.
